Ethnorelativism vs. Ethnocentrism

Learning and participating in another culture’s dining customs is an example of ethnorelativism. Ethnorelativism and its opposite, ethnocentrism, refer to different ways people perceive others from different cultures. While ethnocentrism involves judging another culture solely by the values and standards of one's own, ethnorelativism focuses on recognizing and respecting cultural differences. This approach allows for a more inclusive and empathetic interaction between cultures.
